Lower School

The Lower School (Reception-Year 2) is an exciting place to learn and play. The classrooms are situated on the ground floor of the main building and have easy access to the play areas and the assembly hall.

In Reception the children cover a broad range of topics linked to the Early Years Foundation Curriculum. In Years 1 and 2, teaching will cover Literacy, Numeracy, Topic Work, French, Art and Design, Information Technology, Music, Drama, Physical Education and Forest School. In support of early literacy, the children use Anima Phonics, which is a fun and interactive systematic phonics scheme. The children also have regular access to iPads, Chromebooks and interactive whiteboards. The children love to explore the outdoors and regularly visit the woods, fields and eco-garden area. Children in the Lower School get the best possible start and there is plenty of space to grow!
