Senior Deputy Head

Following the appointment of the current post holder to a senior role in London, Thorngrove is looking for a dynamic and personable Senior Deputy Head to contribute to the development of the school. Three of the last four post holders have moved on to Headships within five years. Having undergone a number of changes in the last few years, Thorngrove is continuing its investment in pupil development to ensure that pupils leave the school with the relevant skills and academic progress into their senior school and their life beyond.

The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to lead and manage teams and people in addition to overseeing the pastoral development of the pupils.

The Senior Deputy Head reports directly to the Headmaster and is responsible for the successful day-to-day running of the school. It is the most senior position in the school after the Headmaster.

The successful candidate will want to embrace all aspects of busy Preparatory School life and empathise with Thorngrove’s vision and core values, which can be found on our website.

To apply for the role, please fill in the application form and return it with a cover letter and an up-to-date CV to recruitment@thorngroveschool.co.uk

Closing Date: Midday on Friday 8th March, 2024

Interviews: from Monday 11th March, 2024

Prospective candidates are invited to discuss the post with Emmanuelle Brooks, School Administrator on 01635 253172 or by emailing recruitment@thorngroveschool.co.uk

Thorngrove is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
