At Thorngrove, we pride ourselves on the quality and the taste of the food we produce. We cook every day for over 265 children and staff. The big favourite with children and staff alike is fish and chips with mushy peas on Fridays. However, it’s important that children get their five-a-day from fruit and vegetables. The kitchen is nut free and we can cater for any dietary requirement (whether it be gluten free, dairy free etc).
At morning break the children have either a homemade biscuit or fresh fruit to keep their energy levels up.
On Friday mornings we have a breakfast club from 7.30am. This includes a 'Big Fry Up' where over eighty parents and children enjoy a delicious cooked breakfast.
There is also a ‘Cookery Club’ where the children learn different skills from pastry making to frying the perfect omelette. We have lots of fun too!
