About us

Thorngrove will soon be celebrating its 30th anniversary. The school prides itself on providing every child with an outstanding education, excellent pastoral care and an enriching environment.

The school was founded in 1988 by Nick and Connie Broughton, based on the belief that individual care and attention is available for all children, whatever their abilities.

The school has gone from strength to strength and now educates around 240 girls and boys.  In recent years, there have been many developments from building a wonderful new sports hall to introducing Design and Technology onto the curriculum.

The exciting new Development Plans (2020 Vision) are available for current and prospective parents to view.  The staff at Thorngrove are superb at providing the children with stimulating, fun and challenging lessons as well as supporting them pastorally.  The school is split into three different sections (Lower, Middle and Upper) allowing the children to be nurtured, monitored and encouraged.

We pride ourselves on our broad curriculum with seventeen different subjects being taught throughout the school.  Above all, children flourish at Thorngrove and excel in many different areas.
