Welcome to
Thorngrove School

I hope you enjoy exploring our website and that it will encourage you to come and experience the unique environment in which our pupils are lucky enough to work and play.

Thorngrove is a happy, family school providing a wonderful education for children aged 2½ to 13 years. All the buildings are architect-designed and are set in 25 acres of beautiful grounds.

We value our caring, friendly community and the benefits it brings.  We pride ourselves on our small class sizes, outstanding teaching and fantastic facilities.  We would love you to come along and see for yourself.

It’s been a fantastic Friday so far! Early this morning, I watched the ODI cricket match with several young fans and their parents on our big screen.  This was followed by a delicious cooked breakfast provided by our superb catering team.  Thomas Garnier, the Head of Pangbourne, kindly talked to the children in assembly about remaining calm and dealing with anger.  This was then followed by coffee and a chat with parents.  After break, I enjoyed teaching my Year 6 English set about writing a sports report (rather apt after the ODI this morning).  I have just returned from a training session with the U11 rugby team coaching them the finer points of a scissor move in the centres.  Can life get any better?
