Welcome to
Thorngrove School

I hope you enjoy exploring our website and that it will encourage you to come and experience the unique environment in which our pupils are lucky enough to work and play.

Thorngrove is a happy, family school providing a wonderful education for children aged 2½ to 13 years. All the buildings are architect-designed and are set in 25 acres of beautiful grounds.

We value our caring, friendly community and the benefits it brings.  We pride ourselves on our small class sizes, outstanding teaching and fantastic facilities.  We would love you to come along and see for yourself.

Another great day at the races!  This time it was the Upper School showing off their athletic talent.  There is something quintessentially British about Sports Day and the coloured bunting and wooden chairs lining the track only add to this nostalgic spectacle.  However, there was nothing dated about the performances and every boy and girl running today did their very best.  It was also lovely to see so many old boys and girls returning to Thorngrove to run in the sibling races.

Tomorrow will be another memorable day.  Joseph (Year 5) is our 'Head for the Day'.  So whilst I put my feet up and read the paper, Joseph will be running the school.  In the afternoon, we have our Founders' Day Tea and I hope that many of you will join me by the pavilion to cut the cake and toast our Principals, Mr and Mrs Broughton.
